Officially No more "Lembu"

It's official. Today marks the end of my driving lessons. No more making trips to the driving school. NO MORE NO MORE!!

Let's walk down to memory lane before the victory.

1)Lessons were no fun business especially when you had no idea of who are your instructors. I'm a cheapskate who refuse to spend $10 more on a fixed instructor. Lesson are already burning a hole in my pocket. Recalled being taunted by an instructor until tears were shed.

2)Red bold "Failed" flashing right before your two eyeballs for every advanced theory test taken. It's so heartbreaking knowing that you had to take it again and again. Passed the third time, of course after a really good studying.

3)Was trying to put off the driving test's date. I almost gave up as I thought that I do not have the guts to face it. But with hubby's & mummy's pressing & of course the $$$ I have invested, I eventually booked a date which I hope will never come.

4)Revision lessons. I just can't seem to improve on my weak areas. Still having jittery feeling. 3 lessons a week was really draining my energy.

5)The actual test date. This is the best part. Some things happened before the test date. My Hp got stolen by some cheapskate guy within that week. I had some allergy reaction on the night before the test. My eyes were all puffy. On the actual day itself, my eyes were still puffy although the swelling had subside a bit. I thought it was a sign that I will never make it.

IN THE END ALL THAT I WENT THROUGH WAS WELL PAID OFF & WORTHWHILE OF COURSE WITH THE SUPPORT OF FAMILY & FRIENDS. THEY GAVE ME THE CONFIDENCE & STRENGTH WHICH I THOUGHT I LACKED OF....KUDOS

A Short getaway

Just came back from Tioman. I need that short break to get away from my busy & hectic work life afterall.

The bus ride was bumpy all the way. Mum got sick on the way due to the S-course road. But overall trip was fun though there was not much entertainment during the night. What do you expect in a small island with forest behind you. But the place was breath taking and serene. You hardly see clouds over the hill of forestation. It was cool.

We did a lot of snorkelling by the beach as well as open deep water. There were corals & marine life underneath it. Sis had that jittery bugs initially to jump into the waters to snorkel and she refused to let go of my hubby's life jacket although she is wearing one herself but got the hang of it. It was hilarious coz she thought she will not float even with the life jacket.

Weather was cool, not too hot so thank god to my skin. We were thinking of Redang but hmmm...let's just see....12 hours ride?? gulp....3 hours of ride is a torture let alone 12 hours....I will let the picture do the talking for now. Ciao

My fingers felt numb as I cut away the red colour felt. My back is screaming for help. My eyes feel like popping out. What am I doing? I'm preparing 800pcs of strawberries the soonest possible. Not the edible kind of course. Hundred by Hundreds have gone and I'm still left with half more to go. Blimey!!

Cutting is no easy task I'll say. And that's just not it. Stitching is next in the list.

We were at Pasir ris on Sunday to spend time with the horses. I lurveeeeeee horses. I'm born in the year of the horse, that explains all. We just connected...hehehe..

I admit that I was quite intimidated but they are so just so beautiful. How lovely it would be if I'm able to ride the horses but I think I'll spare them fom any backache with me on top of them...hehehe

We were at Ikea Tampines the other day, buying containers to put all my artsy& crafty things. Then hubby spotted shelvings which is perfect for our storeroom. We have avoided this rak-raks issue for quite a while now due to insufficient moolah or some other factors.

It's high time we got it and deal with the clutters that is currently overtaking our storeroom cum bomb shelter. You should seen how bad it is. I could not even step into the room. Kalau kena bomb, kiter mati dulu. hehehe

Anyways, we manage to salvage some moolahs and paid for it. Hubby was unhappy that the delivery dates given was so unreasonable. The earliest they could deliver is on the 15/1 and when requested for delivery on 19/1, they replied that they could only hold the good until 18/1 or else they will imposed charges for storage. Does that mean that they can hold the goods for 3 days?? Well, it doesn't really affect me cause I'm not the one paying...heheheh

Disappointed, angry, upset, sad, is all I'm feeling right now. To think someone close to my heart has the guts to this to me. All the trust is all gone. But why?? Have I not treated well?? I had given all but spat on my face was what I got. To think you trust that someone but quietly take all from you. I still don't understand why??

"It" may think that it's ok and act nothing had happened but it hurts me badly. No apologies can make up for it. I find it hard to believe let alone to forgive. How can I trust again?? this changes eveything, it will never be the same.

God, please give me the strength & will to overcome what I'm going through.

What shall I do now? The more I face "It", the more my mind wander & wonder, Why?

I just need an explanation. just one good relevant explanation.

Recapped from last week :

I did spring cleaning over the weekend and I found 3 pcs of the disappering mystery CDs which contains all my photographs which I thought are gone for good. It was chucked by the side of the bed all along. Silly me.

Hide in room due to very very loud thunderstorm. Mind you, all my window are full length glass.

Went to Orchard on a Sat evening - well technically just driving around Orchard Rd trying to find a parking lot which we end up giving up.

Waiting anxiously for packages I ordered from 1) USA 2) Hong Kong which I have no news of at all. Thanks to Vpost.

Practically did nothing on weekdays, Slept very early every day

Some updates from the past weeks,

1)Done partial of the Hari Raya visiting, probably only 1/12 done.

2)Got news that Hubby changed to a normal office working hours. No more slacking on a weekday yah!!Though maybe not so good news for him.

3)Then I passed my Advanced Theory on a 3rd attempt

4)Resume my workout activity in the gym to boost my immune system as well trying to be slim.

I was so pissed off with this D.K.K seated beside me in the MRT today. I was listening to the Ipod when he tilt his head to me to tell me my music was too loud. I turned and answered him "so?" it's a free country. Does it state anywhere in the MRT, No loud music allowed or fine for listening to loud music? Too bad that I interrupted his beauty sleep but that is none of my bloody problem. So I ignored him and continued listening without adjusting the volume. In future I should tell their ethnic group that their B.O. bothers me, please sit somewhere else. How about that? I wonder how will they react to that?

The fact my music was not that loud like he mentioned. You can't even practically hear every word of the lyrics in the songs. I admit that they probably can hear the beat or tempo of the songs but of coz it's not like stereo sound where the whole cabin of the MRT can hear. Bloody D.K.K.... Take private transport then if you think it's too noisy for you or you can get your bloody ass out of the seat and find another one. To think we are inconsiderate, they are worst....act like the world belongs to them.

First there was Bubble Tea, then the Roti Boy and now the donut craze is here. more and more donut shops are popping up like daisies. I happen to walk pass this donut shop in orchard and decided to try it out. There was no queue and they have wide selction of flavours.

Verdict: taste similar like doughnut factory, better choice,of varieties.

We were one of those at the scenes, 1 min before the embargo made its released to eagerful fans. The queue was worst than the Hello Kitty Craze. We joined the queue, NOT!!!!! but we managed to catch glimpse of fans with wizard hats & costumes. Crazy affair I can say. Screams of these hard fans burst, as the countdown begins...They left with a gleeful smile of satisfaction on their faces. Reporters swamped the place for up close interviews.

We left the place soon after it's released and of course we got our copy elsewhere with much lesser queue, a quiet affair I must say. Meanwhile over at Macs where we had our breakfast, 70% of it's customers were holding one the infamous Potter book. so be prepared to see more of ite presence anywhere & everywhere.

I was wondering if they are idolizing the character or the actor, Mr Potter? I have to idolized the character as I am googoo-gaga over fantasy & magical stories, elves and trolls . Enid Blyton's readers will know what I mean.

I admire my "semangat" to wake up as early as 5.30am to catch the book.Unbelievable kan? Kalau pegi kerja, macam liat gitu....hahahaha...What to do, I'm a passionate reader..

So what will be the fate of Mr Potter after this??....End of all catasphore. In Imaginary & real life. Kudos to JK Rowling.

Excruciating is all I can describe on this toothache, not just any tooth but my left lower wisdom tooth. I knew I had to face the music sooner or later as predicted by my dentist. Shall I or Shall I not?? I had the right one extracted which cost me $380. The experience was, only god knows. Just imagine having one dentist pinning you down and holding some gadgetry to keep my big mouth open while the other slicing my gum, mcm slice daging gitu, pulling my tooth out...there was no pain but the impact of the pull was great as THIS tooth was a degil one. The roots were super long...They asked me if I want to keep the tooth but I refused...probably the next one...hehehe...and there goes my wisdom....Those who had their wisdoms extracted, I mean wisdom tooth, they know what I meant....

So probably for now, I just had to eat panadols to ease the pain hopefully. Until the day comes where the pain just wouldn't go away, maybe, I say maybe I'll consider extraction...for now that will the last thing in my to do list.

Today's lesson was very painful. I admit that I'm not a strong one but one does not have the right to treat me the way he treated me. Such a disappointment. I recalled my wild days. It was no suprise then that I got tongue lashing or even taste the cane from my parents each time I crossed my curfew time even though they repeatedly emphasize the time I should be back. It's nothing unusual to not see me at home during the weekends, I probably somewhere pak-toying (dating) or having fun. Staying home was like imprisonment for me. The phone line, mostly my calls will always be busy, thanks to me.....I was really a pain in the a** I admit that. I recalled that very day when my mother even wanted to chase me out of the house....but I refused to budge...hahahaha..Probably during those rebellious days, it was challenging to go against the parents and partially out of curiousity. I refused to listen to anyone and followed my heart.

But those jolly days were over, just sweet memories, . I am in fact grateful to my parents for what I've become now. Being restricted and all really paid off or else I probably have gone astray, hanyut. They had tried every traid in the book to keep me from making mistakes that I may regret. They cut my hair like tomboy, banned me from the phone, fetch me home from school and many more but of course that doesn't stop me. I'm one daring little devil.

Being married and all have changed me to be a much better person, the one thing that my parents are pleased to hear. It has taught me to be more independent and patient. I learnt to be more conscious with everything, from Money to decisions that I have to make in life. Then the passing of my late dad got me in deep thoughts. How short our lives are.

I am very grateful to have my parents,sibling and my husband in my life to guide me to where I am now.

The New Orchard Road

I was at the heart of Orchard Road on Friday night with a friend. We yak and yak away then as we were walking, we were suprised by the vanishing Scotts Shopping Centre. It is now a bare piece of land. How many things have changed. More new buildings, and I mean shopping buildings, are rising. Which means more shops to spend your moolah.

Buildings and shops are not the only one that are on the rise. I see more of the plain clothes CID officer flocking around. How do I know??? hahaha... Me & friend were sitting gulping our Mac Donald Drink when suddenly a CID office pop out and showed her CID card. Before you get any funny idea, it was not us that they were aiming but a lady with thick make up and revealing clothes sitting near us. I believe that she's from the mainland judging from her accent. We pretend that we were not eavesdropping which in fact we were. Ok Ok call us Kaypoh minahs but we just can't help it. One after another, CID officers came to question the lady. Then we feel that it's time for us to get lost before they too have funny ideas about us.

I was thankful that I had my I/C done although all I had was just a temp slip from ICA before my IC is ready. Just imagine what would happened if I got screened with no Identity Card. Then I will be an illegal immigrant.

Super Duper Crankiness

Yesterday was just not my day. In fact not hubby's day too. My Crankiness mood got the better of me. For instance, I got agitated by the slightest sun heat and queueing up to take a snapshot my I/C photo took like donkey hours to be be done with. Waiting for hubby while he disappeared for 20mins to get errands done seems like eternity. I hardly have this hormonal syndrome, the last I remembered was during my adolescence days. But yesterday was the worst and hubby was not too amused with the pouting and the sulking look of mine, macam retak seribu. Today my temper has subsided a bit but that feeling of punching someone in the face is still there. Any takers??

NEW TOY ON BOARD!! Hope this entry of Mr Nikon does not offend my trusty Mr Ixus before it goes kaput on me. Mr Ixus has contirbuted many quality images during my momemnts with it.

If you are thinking of getting these donuts, think again. It requires time and patience. That was what we went through in getting these precious donuts. For 2 days straight, we queued but unsuccessful as all donuts were sold out by 7pm (kempunan, jilat tapak tangan). Fortunately today, my mother joined the lined at 11.30am while the shop is still closed. We had to switch when my mother needs a break. Macam nak queue for NDP tickets seh!!! We managed to get our orders done at 3pm....At last, kempunan kalau tak dapat jugak. It was a painful experience but gatalkan nak makan sangat.

Verdict : It taste better than Dunkin no doubt, soft but not filling.

A trip to Batam

A short getaway to batam. We rested, played, became millionaire for a day (In rupiah currency, sadly), stayed in a suite, ate our hearts out and till the next day, home sweet home. Goodbye Batam, Till we meet again!!

Time Out!!!

The Notebook is giving me signs that it's time for it to K.O. Initially it was the RAM. We then got it a new one. Then now it's the Optical Drive. Bole cekik darah. Refuse to write any data and giving us some funny sound. Macam nak campak ajer kat luar tingkap.

So this impatient, can live without "IT" me, went to Sim Lim Square with hubz to find a replacement Optical Drive. I decided to get an External drive instead to save some moolah. Notebook's optical drive is not cheap OK!!!!!

We surveyed every shop there and we just could not find the right one. We had to choose either bulky & cheap $$$ or sleek but expensive...And of course the stingy me wanted the cheap goods of coz but we ended buying the expensive one with some extra function which now I realised is redundant...hehehe....fickle ol' me.

I don't know what else is next to come....maybe the Hard Disk???? Now I must really sayang sayang "IT".

Ok I admit I am very lembiks when it comes to heights. So I thought that the Sentosa skyride wasn't all that scary but I was wrong. Hey, it doesn't look that bad when we looked up from the ground....nie konon eksyen berani ajer, so gatal nak try kan. It was lucky that we only bought a one way ticket...hehehe.. Hubz warned me that this not the normal cable car ride but I refuse to adhere to his words.

I can feel my heart racing as we sat on the ride and as soon our feet were lifted off the ground, I felt like my heart just crashes into the green bushes below. I think it's about 6-7 storey high or maybe higher above the ground. Perhaps I will just let the pictures do the talking. No words can describe the fear i faced...hehehe

Baby Visit

I made a scrapbook of my new cuzzie and framed it as a gift to my auntie. I'm quite a beginner in this field but I managed to pull it off. Kudos... In the beginning, I didn't know where to begin but I had to begin somewhere....wahahahaha..so kira main hentam keromo ajer. What I'm going to tell you now will be the greatest history of my life. My sister parked the car at the Marina Square carpark. We were so in the rush that we forgot to notice the parking lot, the color or even the entrance that we got out at.

So we headed back to the carpark shortly after as my sis had to make some video recording for work but we could not find the car...It was really like a maze..We went round and round making our way back to same spot. I was sweating and getting panicky at the same time....We end up getting home in a taxi coz sis really had to make the recording.

We came back to Marina square to look for the car again but still no hope. But luck were looking down on us when a security guard on a bicycle approach and ask us if we lost our car. At last we had to admit defeat and got him to search for the car. Shortly after he found the car and we were relieved. Without him , probably we will still be there searching.. According to him, this always happened coz the carpark is too damn big.

So lesson to be learned.., always remember where you park the car...

It's amazing to see most parents have high expectation on their children's exam results. One humble soul claims that her children will get the taste of the cane if they do not perform to her expectations and refused to acknowledge their report cards. The expections?? Anything lower than 75 is not acceptable. Bad grade means bad children. But they are merely children. I can't deny the fact that we have to push them to study now and then to get good grades but it this the right way to do it, by caning or depriving them from their childhood? Have they ever thought that perhaps not all children are einstein or geniuses??

My body would probably be covered with cane bruises for my not so genius brain. My mother used to say that I am better with hands than with my brains....hahaha

I Just Can't Help it

Before the Hari Raya begins, I found my way to the cookie jar and munching away. Hahahahaha....My Hubz was sneering at me..but I simply ignored his comments....LOL. So much things to do today, I don't even know where to begin. Need to collect ketupats from the in laws in the evening.....My huz is the happiest lazybone coz he doesn't have do it which means no more 8 long hours of cooking process. As for me, cooking is really a chore but I have no choice but to do it. I have done most part of the cleaning, just a few touch up needed.

I just want to enjoy today's evening in the comfort my own home with hubz before the arrival of Syawal, if that is ever possible.

Today marks the last day of Ramadhan to welcome the arrival of Syawal. I feel sad especially that my late father is not by our side. Syawal has always been different for us with him around even though he was already not in such good health. Some days in this entire month of Ramadhan, I could feel his presence one way or another. Soon Ramadhan will be gone but not our prayers for you. You will always be in our thoughts forever.

Dang!!!! I could not locate 2 of my Data CDs. All my archives of my beautiful pictures are in it and MIA. I ransack my whole house and still no CD. This is frustrating man!!! These are few possibilities that could contribute to it's disappearance:-

1) I misplaced it
2) I hide it somewhere and forgot totally about it
3) Probably there's momok in the house.
4) My husband moved it to another location. (trust me when he does, you be suprise where it will end up)
5) Or the CDs have legs??
6) It's playing hide and seek in between the piles of folded laundry

If you all must know, I have no intention in baking or cooking for the Festives. My body is too lazy to even move my limbs. I really feel legathic for the first time in my life. I even neglected my daily chores like :

a) Cleaning of the dishes
b) Washing of Laundry
c) Cooking
d) Mopping

Ocassionally, my hubz had to help me with the cleaning & the cooking. Thank you for being so understanding. I can't make up what's wrong with my body but it feels like someone has just drained out all my energy, kering kerontang. I felt even worse at work with the fasting and all.

But for my hubz's sake, I probably do a little bit of baking and cooking for the Festive. And I still got my curtains still pending in the storeroom waiting to be sewn.....arghhhhhhhhhh...How can this be??

Yay!!It's official, the IMF is over. No more policemen, officials or Traffice Police flocking around my office building. Their presence are very uncomfortable although it adds up as free security for us. I hate when those beady eyes staring at me like I am some how hazardous to the community. Wah Piang!! No wonder public kept their parameters away from the Suntec City shopping area...kwang kwang kwang...Last week I had to go to Suntec City (a last resort thingy).I had to enter this very big cage right before the overhead bridge link to Suntec (dah macam prison barrier). Imagine the agony I went through just to climb stairs of the overhead bridge.When I reached there, I swear I could play run and catch. A once busy mall turns out to be a bare empty one..but I'm sure not for long...business will start picking up from today onwards. Kudos. No more electric barrier!!!

Me & my ex colleagues watched some Japanese movie yesterday, Helen the baby fox, some kind of heartwarming story plot. Ok before I carry on, I must tell you I was a bit stunned when my friends told me their desire to watch that show, the title was not impressive or convincing at all. All I can say is that, I’ve had bad experience with Japanese movies. Very well then, so I just went ahead with doubts…hehehe. I told them this better be my $7 ka-ching worth.

It turns out that the movie was not as bad as I thought it would be. It’s a story of a little boy who was temporarily staying with his mother’s boyfriend who is a vet. The boy found a quiet baby fox (the box is very very cute, reminds me of my baby cat) on his way back to school and made it his companion pet. But things went wrong when they discovered that the baby fox was blind & deaf due to some internal injuries which is beyond recovery. While it’s days are numbered, the boy’s hope gave the fox strength to fight for his live to live a lit bit longer. The boy showered it with love, tender, patience and importantly strength even though no one thought it’s worth. It was a sad ending when baby fox died but the boy knew that it died peacefully knowing there’s someone who cared and never give up hope.

We learnt a lesson from this movie that to never give up hope even if it means the impossible. Life has a better meaning if you just cared.

FYI, I cried so badly, that my friend had to offer tissue to me, so embarrassing. Hey, don’t blame me, it’s really a very sad movie you know and I’m a very emotional & compassionate lady. This movie is suitable for animal lovers & those with compassion &who appreciate life. It’s really worth the money to watch.

Going Wireless

Finally, I'm going wireless soon with compliments of Starhub bundle wireless package. All I have to do is just re-contract my subscription with Starhub. All at no cost. I was tempted to buy a wireless router when I was at the IT store but luckily I remembered about this wireless promo. It saves me $90 of my moolah. Can't wait till next 2 week to setup up my own wireless network.... :-)

Blotchy!!!

Hubby was on MC for his neck stiff. I envied his ability to be able to stay at home while his wifey slaving at work..... he was too occupied having a good homey resting time that he forgot that the medicine that was prescribed to him had side effect on him.

Initially I thought his eyes looks a bit swollen, perhaps from the too much sleep after effect. After a while I noticed that the swell did not go away. His skin start to puff and red blotchy patches were all over his body. You can practically see pores opening. I gave him a nickname "Michellin baby". I advise him to see the doctor again today if it the swelling persist. The medication may be too strong for him or he may be allergic to it. Looking at him in such state makes me shudder. Poor hubby....I can't even see his eyes now even when he'a not smiling.

I am amazingly suprised that you can find so many things to buy at Bugis Street/ Rochor. I was confusingly roaming around during my lunch period to find some interesting shopping places to explore. I came across cheap apparels & shoes from $5-$10 along with some cheap household items or stationeries items. But you must have the patience to run through the store and dig out from the shopping bins. You will be suprised that you might find something to your liking. Did I tell you that there are cheap toys too which cost less than $10...of course you can tell that most of them are made from China. But what the heck!!! There are many to choose for different age group from "main masak masak" to Red Indian Bow & arrow stuffs. I would probably have "borong" the toys if only I have kids...hehehehe....then you will see a big hole in my pocket...

Anyway I stumbled upon some push cart stores(most of the stores only operates late afternoon)at bugis street and bought myself 6 pairs of earrings for $10. "Mama needs new pairs of earrings"...hehehehe....

FOOT HAVEN???

We went cruising around Chinatown to find the cheapest with good deal foot massage store. Finally we found one, 45mins foot & shoulder massage...so off we go...was just getting comfortable with the pvc covered chair when a man, the masseur...my maaseur ok....I have never been foot massaged by a man. The last I had was a massage from dearie hubz whom I umpteenly curse and swear. It was agonisingly painful....hehehe.

The masseur started with his gentle professional touch. He gradually increased the pressure of his fingers to the different points of my soles. The pain was bearable.

He began to work on my heels...ahhaa...this level, I'm beginning to lose it already. As suspected, I felt the pain coming as my heels have been aching. It felt like I could just kick the massuer in the face...He kept pressing repeatedly at the same painful area and murmuring about me having too much of cold drinks.

Maybe he was right but then again, I can't live without my precious cold drinks...argghhhh...lukewarm water has never been my preferred drinks....argghhh....shucks!!this just gave my hubz the opportunity to mock at me....he has always told me to reduce my cold water intake which I refused instantaneously..hahaha...serve me right then...so from this day onwards....I will try my best to cut down my cold drinks and drink more lukewarm water......yelchhhhhh!!!...No pain no gain rite??

Today marks the 3rd year of my late father's passing anniversary. The memory of that very day still lingers in my mind like fresh wound. Each time I think of him, I shed a tear or two. From the day I was brought into this world, I have always loved him and seen him go thru his suffering and the pain in silence. And even after 3yrs, I still missed him terribly. It's very a heartbreaking news about the missing girl. I have been following up with the news since I learnt about the girl's disappearance when I was at my MIL's place last Fri. How barbaric could someone be killing a merely 2-year old girl. It's so so very sad.

May the little girl's soul rest in peace and the person responsible will face it's consequences from his action.

We went to Far East Flora to survey flowers for my cousin's wedding. I saw roses going at $8 for 20 stalks so I got my hubz to get them.....What the heck, it's just $8 for a good cause...ermmmm...in conjuction of our anniversary.....Kesian kan...tak dapat bouquet....nie pun jadilah....hehehe...so I place them in a vase...and put it on my tv console....so happy u!!! It really made my day!!
