I caught up with Bridget Jones Diary 2day with my hubz. Well we actually wanted to watch the Incredibles or Birth but forgetting that it was the beginning of the school holiday, most of the movie is full house in every time slot, "duh". Hate when the school holidays starts. Anyway we manage to get the middle row seat for Bridget at 9pm. We went food hunting for our dinner after we got the tixs. Tried to withdraw cash from the ATM machine but my damn card just wouldn't work. Hate when this happens. It keeps on prompting that my card is faulty. I got so fed up especially with an hungry stomach. We decided to find another ATM machine which was like far and away from Plaza Sing. We head on to Peace centre to try and get my damn money out but again my card was rejected. Damn the card and damn the machine. By this round, I had my blood level shot up to my nose. So my patient hubz drag his impatient Queen to another ATM located near the art museum. At last manage to withdraw a couple of notes at the cost of my achy legs and my patience. We then quickly went over to Prinsep St to have our Dinner.....Phhhewwwww!!! I'm gonna get this stupid ATM card replace first thing in the morning. This is the result when you depend too much on a mere plastic card.

Enuff about card, The movie was not as bad as my hubz thought it would be. It's a romance comedy movie about a clumpsy, plus size girl who is constantly worrying about everything, anything and especially men & relationships. For those who have watch the first one, you would find that the second one is much much better. It was hilarious that even my hubz can't resist laughing. Renee a.k.a Bridget really play her part well this round except she's much bigger in size than the previous. I give a 5 thumbs up rating for this movie for those comedy-romance movie goers. I can't deny the fact that Hugh Grant is a sexy british hot boyish look whom he play his part as the maniac, in which he is one in reality too. And Colin Firth is also gorgeous serious, successful career like man that every girl dream of having.

Today is my Hubz's birthday...Since it's not payday yet, so just have to postpone his b'day dinner treat...I have decided to bring him to a sushi bar....yum yum.... So Deariez, you can now add another 1 to your age....You are now officially pass the big "30"+1

As I looked back to my courting days and the pictures taken during earlier days with my husband, sometimes it made me think if he was really the Mr right guy for me even after almost 3years of marital. Questions came into my head, why did I decide to choose him out of all of the relationship that I've had, or what made me attracted to him?? It could be that I was out of my mind when I said I do when he asked me the golden question? or was it the pressure that my family gave me that landed me in this state? Is it fate that brought us together? Is this really what I want? I wonder why??

Then again, he was my best friend, my lover and my husband now. He was always there when I needed him even despite the number of rejections he gets from me. He has most of the quality that I looked for in a man.

After so much thinking, I finally realise that he loved me like no other man could and I am so grateful to him for that. He brought up my spirit that once almost faded away with bitterness. He is my angel and my life so what the heck was I thinking about him not being the right guy. "Duh" Guess I have too much of free time to wonder....hehehehe

Ok here comes the review for the shutter movie that I manage to cactch 2day with my colleagues.

I would give the movie a rating of 6/10. Apart from covering of my eyes with my jacket in some part of the scenes, It's not as scary as I expected. As usual the sound effect play a great part in the show...just like in any horror movie. As for the storyline, it's simple and straight forward. It's about this couple who had a hit and run car accident, and right after the incident, spirits start showing up in almost every photographs they took. It's more to a revenge like kind of story. The rest is up to you guys to figure, let's just leave the suspense shall we?

I still feel that Korean or Japanese horror movie is the best, story line and sound effect are much better and the ghost looks good too....errrr..I mean hideous....

Planned to watch midnight with hubz, the shutter, a Thai language movie. The rating for this movie is quite good so I just have to watch this one but definitely with my man. yay!!

I started my cooking project as early as 3pm. Finish on time for the last break fast. Hubz is busy with the cleaning and the ngayam ketupat...Actually I was the one who die die make my hubz do the ketupst coz I wanna feel the Hari Raya spirit....Semangat Banget....hehehehe...at 11pm, we head to Geylang for a last minute shopping spree, need to find matching, cheap and good baju kurung for hubz...We manage to find one @$25...I got some flowers, table runner and we are outta of there by 12.30am.....phewww! It was really crowded and heaty! If not because of my hubz Baju kurung, I wouldn't even wanna come down there.....tsk tsk

Today I woke up late due to my late nite cookies baking. My Baking factory is officially close effective today.....In the afternoon, me & hubz went to the cemetery to oversee my late father's grave....We did some chopping of weeds that's growing around it. It was raining which makes it easier for us to pull the weeds off. It's been 1 1/2 years now that he has left us but it feels like it was only yesterday that he blew his last breath. This will be the 2nd year that we are having this Idul Fitri without him and we especially my mum are still coping with his absence. I am feeling rather sad that ramadan month is soon to be over coz I know somewhere, he's watching over us and soon it's time for his soul to return to the other world with the upcoming syawal. I gave my prayers after the cleaning. And May Allah have mercy on his soul. Amin...

Heritage Cookies - Sarang Semut
I remembered when I was a kid, I love this cookie. One of my Dad's relative was really good at making this heritage cookies and me & my sister would finish the whole container when we come to visit her. She would let us tapao some back home too....So now I decided to bake these cookies to bring back that childhood memories of mine. I found this recipe and tried it out. Well it turns out not bad though. It's like melt in your mouth...yummy!!!




Pineapple Tarts a must for Hari Raya

Hari Raya without Pineapple Tart...Well these is a must in my family tradition. It just doesn't feel Hari Raya without the tarts. It quite hard work though during this transition...coz the dough keep sticking to the mould...argghhh...I have to put lots and lots of flour an efforts to prevent it from sticking to the plastic mould...The pineapple paste is another hard labour that I have to face. Every min and sec, I have keep stirring until the paste is completely dried and to prevent it from burning.....anyway I manage to finish everything with satisfaction.....
