I was at Arab Street with hubz to get some of beadings accessories and we had dinner at Beach Road and we thought hey why not wait for the fireworks for the NDP rehearsals. So as we walk along beach road, we saw the decorative cars lined up for the parade. My hubz was excited to see the army tanks but unfortunately the road was too narrow for any tank to pass by... too bad darling...but i managed to catcha glimpse of some army continent marching back from the parade...I so liked!!!...Then we head downwards to City Hall after the cars had left for the Padang to see fireworks.... There was this big tree obstructing from viewing the firework...But we did get to some sparks here and there.
Our National flag up above the sky
Standing in front of the traffic light opposite Raffles Place hotel just to see decorative cars
And the fireworks that was only visible behind the big tree
And that's us on the way back home

Bubur oh Bubur!!
Sunday, July 24, 2005
Kerana terigin punya pasal, kenalah masak sendiri bubur pulut hitam. My sis used to call it Bubur kicap putih. "Duh!! mana ader kicap putih??? tsk tsk.... Niway took long hours just to make sure that the pulut is properly cooked. Sampai ngantuk ngantuk, tersengguk sengguk tunggu nak makan bubur. Biler bubur dah masak, mata pun tak bole tahan lagi....masuk dalam esbokz...but it's still good the next day...just heat it up and presto it's as good as freshly cooked bubur. But unfortunately, I'm the only one yang cekik bubur tu as hubz is not a fan of any bubur made of pulut...wak wak wak...aper bole buat....masak just nice buat satu mangguk fro myself...nak hilangkan kempunan tekak...nanti kena terlungkup dengan batu belah batu bertangkup. So next on my craving list is durian....Guess it mother nature's calling that every once of the month thingy...Hormones On the Rage!!!!.

NKF Debate
Friday, July 15, 2005
During there was debate on the NKF hottest news between two of my colleagues. I was in the middle like a sandwich. We were discussing about who' wrong and who's right. Somehow from a small conversation, it became a debate them, and then the personal attack.
I can sense so much anger coming out from her as she speaks about why the public assume that the luxury expenses paid for the CEO of NKF comes from the public donations. We, on the other hand think otherwise. Some thing are so obvious to make us believe that he's actually feeding on the donations fund, looking at the factors that he received a 12 months bonus, hey this is a non-profit organisation, where in the world are they able to pay him such big sum of bonus and spending luxuriously on office bathroom fittings. It's true that we do not have hard evidence to place the blame but I don't see a point of getting personal or worked up when it's not even any of our problems. Everybody is entitled to their own opinions
I for one has no issue with NKF as I stopped donating long time ago due to tight cashflow. I strongly believe in donating directly to the person who is really in need especially when I had been through that state before when my dad was very sick and we needed the funds which the welfare could not do anything much about it. I have not grudges for this welfares but I feel much better to know whom I'm contributing rather that donating and not knowing where it will be channeled to and suspicion starts building up in my head. Then it defeat the purposes of donating when your good intentions has turned to anger.
So Cheer up..life still goes on....

Movie Madness
Monday, July 04, 2005
Buying the War of the World DVD does not stop me from watching it in the cinema with my ex colleagues. Drag my hubz to see the show too.
The movie was not too bad although the ending was a bit lame. The aliens just deterorrate by themselves, infected by some kind of virus. Well, can't blamed Steven Spielberg for it, as it's a re-make of the old version of the movie in 1980s but this time with better graphics. The actual virus that attacked the aliens was actually common cold which was never mentioned in this remake.
Good graphics & sound effect, cheap tixs (coz it's Monday), handsome hero, lame ending. That's my opinion. See it for yourself
